Here is a shout out to our friends at the University of Maastricht in the Netherlands, fighting the good fight against trash by going on a trashwalk! This group of graduate students and faculty organized a trashwalk during the Sustainability Week they held last week at the CSR LAB at Maastricht University.
It was a great turn out and they ended up finding and picking up a lot of trash!
The trashwalk was noticed by some neighbors and they ended up getting an invitation for coffee and cake! What a way to spread the knowledge about trash and what a reward for doing something meaningful in your local neighborhood, which looks quite beautiful.
The success of the trashwalk depends on several factors but we can clearly see this trashwalk was incredibly successful because of the outreach it generated, the community it involved, and the trash it picked up! Not to mention all the mediative yoga that went on during this event. Thank you for sharing GoodGood Trashfighters, we hope to hear about more stories soon!
